What can happen if I wait?
Not making the choice to accept Jesus Christ as your savior is the same as saying "No." If you were to die right now, unsaved / lost, you would spend eternity in hell. It would be too late at this point as God would judge you and find you guilty according to the sins which you have committed throughout your life. The risks of waiting should be obvious. We're not promised tomorrow by God. Each morning we hope the sun will rise and believe it will. Every time we go to sleep we hope to wake up and believe that we will. Each time we drive home from work or school, we hope to drive safe and expect to make it home safely. However, this isn't always the case. One of the surveys you won't see floating around: 10 out of 10 people die. The question is - when will you? If you die without being saved you will spend eternity in hell. Why risk it, friend? God is not willing that any should perish. Don't wait, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior today!
I was 24 years old when I placed my faith in Jesus Christ. That means my constant and daily rejection of Christ, before I was saved, would have resulted in my eternity spent in hell, had I died.
Matthew 26:28 "For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."
By the shedding of Christ's blood, you and I have the opportunity to be found perfect on the day of judgment. When I stand before God he won't look at my sin, but to the blood of his own son, Jesus Christ. God will see Christ's righteousness, not my sin. Why? Because I've placed my faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and have asked him to save me.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
