Can I lose my salvation?

The short answer: No.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  John 3:16

   T
he bible makes it clear in countless verses that faith in Christ results in salvation. If someone were drowning in the ocean, rescued, but then thrown right back into the ocean -- could we honestly say that person was saved? Everlasting life is what it is: everlasting. If it were taken away, then it wouldn't be everlasting. The devil wants you to think you can lose salvation. The devil wants you to be insecure, fearful, and lonely. False doctrine teaches that a person can lose their salvation. This is of the devil.

John 10:28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

These are the words of Christ. Now, apply this verse to the drowning scenario. Does this verse make us believe that Christ would place us back in the ocean to drown? No! Clearly, Jesus said "...they shall never perish..." Lets get down to brass tacks: If a saved person were to lose their salvation, then God would be a liar. Jesus Christ has told us that the saved will NEVER persish. That means the saved will never spend an eternity in hell. Those that teach a person can lose their salvation are mistaken. Salvation depends on Jesus Christ and his death on the cross, not our works. If I were to sin and this resulted in losing my salvation, then salvation wouldn't have depended on God but my works.

There is no middle ground. There is good and evil, wickedness and righteousness,  saved and lost (unsaved). A person is either saved and eternaly secure by placing their faith in Jesus Christ, or they're lost by doing nothing. The question is, where do you stand?
